As a general contractor in the field of Heavy Civil Construction and Earthworks, we specialize in subdivision development, site preparation and servicing, public road reconstruction, and road and highway construction.

We are searching for an experienced Civil Construction Pipelayer to join our hardworking crew here in the Okanagan.

The ideal candidate must have 2+ years of experience in a related field, as well as

  • Experience around equipment
  • Eye for detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Great work ethic and attitude
  • Attentive to safety standards

Wage will be based upon experience.

Responsibilities

  • Install water, sewer, storm pipes, shallow utilities
  • Use lasers, survey equipment, various trade tools
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment

Necessary Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
  • Must be able to safely operate company vehicles
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work well with others

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Civil Construction

Physical Demands

  • Lifting up to 50lbs
  • Bending and crouching for extended periods of time
  • Climbing in and out of trenches
  • Climbing on ladders
  • Working in extreme temperatures

Work Environment

  • Working outdoors in all seasons
  • Working around heavy equipment
  • Working near traffic
  • Exposure to loud noises

Major Areas of Responsibility

Pay: From $32.00 per hour
