This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving challenges, enjoys working with a diverse team.

This role is based out of Kelowna, with the possibility of travel to out-of-town projects on a rotational schedule. If you are positive, people-oriented, and eager to grow in the civil construction industry, this could be the role for you

  • Correspond with subcontractors and major suppliers to prepare contracts.
  • Work with the project team to issue material purchase orders and confirm receipt of materials and return of equipment.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and lead operations staff on site.
  • Supervise and mentor site personnel.
  • Maintain a thorough Superintendent's daily report that accurately tracks site progress, events, inspections, and other relevant information.
  • Provide positive safety and quality leadership throughout the duration of the project.

Safety, Compliance & Problem Solving

  • Possess working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental protection practices and procedures as they apply to common construction processes.
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems proactively.
  • Capable of identifying constructability issues in moderately complex situations and creating solutions in the construction plan and schedule.

Financial Oversight

  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to monitor financial aspects of the contract to protect both parties' interests.
  • Regularly monitor and review project cost variances, providing feedback to project teams as appropriate.
