Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Electrical Apprentice will assist in various electrical tasks on construction sites, contributing to both commercial and industrial projects. This position requires a strong willingness to learn and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
  • Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage systems as directed.
  • Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
  • Participate in construction site activities, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members on various tasks, including frame carpentry as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an industrial or commercial electrician is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment is essential.
  • Basic understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively is a plus.
  • Experience on construction sites is beneficial for understanding the work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety are required.
