Lead with Culture. Build with Community.
Do you believe that culture is medicine? Are you passionate about helping youth reconnect with their identity, belonging, and community? Are you ready to walk alongside young people as they explore who they are and where they come from?
If that sounds like you, let's talk.
Street Culture Project is hiring a Cultural Mentor to lead and grow our cultural programming at the Treehouse—a welcoming space for youth ages 13–24. This role blends mentorship, ceremony, and community partnership to foster healing, identity, and resilience through culture.
What You'll Do
This role is about connection, encouragement, and presence. You'll be part of the team that youth can count on—whether they're looking for resources, a safe place to land, or someone who believes in them.
You'll:
- Facilitate cultural programming, ceremonies, and mentorship opportunities.
- Support Indigenous youth in reconnecting with their roots and self-identity.
- Build partnerships with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and cultural organizations.
- Coach staff on cultural responsiveness and inclusivity.
- Promote healing and growth through culture, connection, and care.
What You Bring
We're looking for someone who can show up with compassion, consistency, and curiosity.
- Certificate/degree in Indigenous Studies, Human Services, or related field—or equivalent lived experience.
- Knowledge of Indigenous teachings, protocols, and community structures.
- Experience facilitating circles, ceremonies, or youth-focused programs.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to SCP's values: Youth-Centred Care, Trauma-Informed Practice, Harm Reduction, and Strength-Based Mentorship.

- Evening availability (3:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m., flexible scheduling)
Why Work With Us?
At SCP, we believe in walking beside youth—not ahead or behind them. We honour Indigenous teachings and community-led wisdom as part of the healing journey
You'll be part of a team that's committed to building an inclusive, safe, and empowering environment for young people.
We offer:
- Flexible evening shifts
- Supportive, values-driven team culture
- Opportunities to develop skills in mentorship, group facilitation, and youth support
- The chance to make a real impact in the lives of youth in our community
