Beretta Farms is looking for the right individual to join our Shipping and Receiving team at our Beef/Bison processing facility in Lacombe, AB.

Position Summary:

  • Coordinate transportation: Arrange and monitor the movement of products, ensuring timely shipments and deliveries. Responsible to oversee LTL, FTL & FCL of Fresh & Frozen Meat products.
  • Manage inventory: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and coordinate stock to avoid production interruptions. Monitor outbound and inbound shipments in consultation with our sales team, outside warehouses and customers. Assist in completion of required paperwork and subsequent data entry into system to receive cattle and bison.
  • Communicate with stakeholders: Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, carriers, and customers to address logistics needs and issues. Investigate and respond promptly to internal and external inquiries regarding shipments, including tracking requests or provision of proof of delivery and claims. Interface with freight carriers, 3PL's, customs clearance agents, and Freight Forwarders.
  • Monitor and track shipments: Keep an eye on supply chains and shipments, ensuring they are on schedule and addressing any errors that arise. Monitor outbound and inbound shipments in consultation with our sales team, outside warehouses and customers. Internal communication with sales & administration of freight invoices that require billing to customers
  • Handle documentation: Prepare necessary documents for shipping and receiving, including bills and invoices. Ensure all boxes are marked with regulatory shipping labels. The operator is responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure compliance with all requirements applicable to the products intended for export.

Qualifications:

1-3 years working experience in Customs and/or Logistics in a raw product environment

Post-Secondary education in business or supply chain management with experience in international logistics and/or international trade is ideal.

Analytical, detail oriented, highly accurate, conscientious, and dependable.

Strong interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and organizational skills to oversee staff.

· Maintain a sense of urgency, strong multi-tasking, and priority management

· Highly proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Experience with warehouse management systems an asset

· Experience in raw meats facility a definite asset

· Experience in raw products transportation required

Hours:

Monday to Friday; must be available between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm

Shift timings may change from time to time based on business Requirements; therefore, flexibility in your schedule is a job requirement
