The Opportunity
Leavitt Machinery is looking for a skilled
Field Technician
(Heavy Equipment or Automotive) to join our team in
Brampton, Ontario
. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Technician will be assigned to critical machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As a Field Technician your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of material handling equipment
  • Diagnosing and repairing various makes of equipment as required by customers
  • Conducting tasks assigned from the Dispatcher, maintaining communication and providing updates as needed
  • Reviewing and discussing job details with customers
  • Communicating with the Parts department via phone and email to ensure required parts are ordered
  • Maintaining proper documentation as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • 5+ years of heavy equipment or automotive repair experience in a related industry
  • Possession of a 310S Automotive Technician, 310T Truck Technician, or a 282E Powered Lift Truck Technician certification
  • Experience with hydraulics and diagnosing and servicing electric engines
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external customers and internal stakeholders
  • Valid driver's license required

The base pay range for this role is: $40.50 to $45.90 per hour, depending on experience
