Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will support project activities including equipment installation, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting. This role requires a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, practical understanding of PLC systems, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, assembly, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical components, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Support Managers in the execution of technical tasks
  • Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Conduct testing and calibration of equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and service records.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable safety standards, codes, and company procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar technical or project-based role (industrial, manufacturing, automation, or related field).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting experience.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools (having your own tools is an asset).
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
