Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and patient individual to join my parents as a live-in Home Caregiver. My father has Alzheimer's and mother has mild dementia. As a caregiver, you will provide essential assistance to them, ensuring their well-being and comfort. You will be part of a team of other caregivers. You will have your own separate room & separate bathroom.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about assisting others, especially seniors and those with disabilities, to maintain independence and improve their quality of life. The caregiver will support clients with daily activities, health needs, and emotional well-being, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.

Duties

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide patient care including medication administration and health monitoring in accordance with care plans
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a clean living space
  • Support clients with mobility and transfer assistance, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional health
  • Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals
  • Assist with hospice care needs, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times
  • Work with individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments with patience and understanding

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
  • Knowledge of senior care, hospice care, dementia care, and working with people with disabilities is highly desirable
  • Certification or experience in medication administration is a plus
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans accurately
  • Must be reliable, patient-focused, and committed to providing respectful, dignified care

Preferred

  • Any health care education (preferred)
  • Filipino / Tagalog speaking (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license (preferred)
