CAMH's ECHO Ontario Mental Health is a virtual training and capacity building model that supports healthcare providers in delivering high quality, evidence-based mental health and addictions care in their local communities. Through multipoint videoconferencing, ECHO Ontario Mental Health links expert inter-disciplinary teams with front line care providers in order to share best practices, jointly discuss practical recommendations for complex client care, and build sustainable communities of practice. This is an emerging area of practice, and one that presents a significant opportunity for improving access to Mental Health and Addictions services, both in remote and urban settings. ECHO Ontario Mental Health is seeking a full-time, contract Information Specialists who will report to the Manager of ECHO Ontario Mental Health at CAMH.
The Information Specialist will perform important administrative, clerical and system support to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the ECHO Ontario Mental Health initiative. Specifically, the Information Specialist will collaborate with internal and external program stakeholders to plan and execute multi-session virtual education programs (i.e. ECHO Ontario Mental Health Cycles) at CAMH. In this role, the Information Specialist will oversee meeting and session logistics, including scheduling key stakeholders, booking rooms, online meeting spaces, and teleconference lines, developing, collecting, sharing, and printing relevant materials, guiding meeting agendas, and preparing minutes. The Information Specialist will also support the program with participant recruitment, as well as communicating with healthcare provider participants and clinical educators before, during and after the session to ensure they can adequately engage in the program. You will engage with diverse program stakeholders in order to understand their needs, support the evaluation of sessions, and consider ways to integrate feedback in support of high quality service. The Information Specialist will support program communication materials, including content updates on the website, outreach flyers, weekly newsletters, and orientation packages. In order to effectively manage and track participants, this role will also involve the development and maintenance of program databases, as well as collecting, analyzing and sharing program data to support the development of ad-hoc reports. This role requires strong communication skills in order to support physicians, and allied-health professionals with administrative and technical needs to support their ability to educate and build communities of practice through ECHO. You will also support specific departmental duties across the ECHO & Northern Outreach and Virtual Care portfolio as assigned by the Manager.
Success in this role calls for someone who has an understanding of continuing medical education, the mental health and addictions system, digital health solutions and software (including Zoom), and a passion for health equity, and building capacity amongst Ontario healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, strong writing skills, and will be detail oriented and accurate. This position involves regularly communicating with internal and external stakeholders, as such someone with strong verbal and communication skills that thrives in a team-oriented environment is required. This position requires completing other duties as assigned, as such someone with ability to manage their time, as well as organize and prioritize tasks is required. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is located at the Queen Street Site.

You will have sound analytical and problem-solving skills, highly developed interpersonal, and communication (verbal and written) skills, and possess strong administrative skills.
