Summary

As a Supervised Instructor Therapist/Behaviour Therapist, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality care and program implementation for children and adults with behavioural challenges. Reporting to the clinical supervisor, your role involves implementing therapeutic interventions, utilizing your expertise in special education and psychology. Strong communication skills, ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadines is crucial.

Duties

- Provide behavioural support and intervention to individuals with behavioural challenges

- Teach life skills and Activities of Daily Living skills (ADLs)

- Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour change

- Monitor and track progress through simple data collection

  • Review ABC data collection, conduct staff training, and provide direct observations

Requirements

- Degree in psychology, Special Education, or a related field or Diploma in Autism & Behaviour Sciences or some for of ABA coursework/training.

- Experience working with children/adults with behavioural challenges and exceptionalities

- Knowledge of behavioural principles and strategies

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping individuals with behavioural challenges
