Minuteman Press Sherwood Park is a fast-paced, full-service printing and sign production company — and we truly believe we have the best customers in the world. We're growing and looking for a detail-oriented Digital Print Operator to join our production team.

Job Summary

The Digital Print Operator is responsible for running and maintaining high-volume digital copiers, wide-format printers, and various bindery/finishing equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and creating high-quality printed products.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain digital high-speed copiers and related workflow software.
  • Process customer files, download artwork, and prepare layouts for printing.
  • Use programs such as Microsoft Office, Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • (Applicants proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign will receive special consideration.)
  • Adjust equipment settings to accommodate various paper sizes, weights, substrates, and layout/imposition requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, conduct minor repairs, and coordinate vendor service calls.
  • Maintain accurate files and documentation for print jobs.
  • Monitor equipment during operation to ensure consistent quality and productivity.
  • Operate and maintain wide-format printers, laminators, and work with both rigid and flexible sign materials.
  • Sign installation experience is a strong asset.
  • Operate finishing equipment including cutters, folders, collators, drills, stitchers, perforators, padders, die-cutters, and labeling equipment.
  • Manage inventory of paper, supplies, and consumables.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience operating digital copiers, wide-format printers, and/or bindery equipment (or equivalent training/education).
  • Experience in bindery, signage production, sign application, or general print shop work.
  • Adobe Creative Suite and/or CorelDRAW skills are considered strong assets.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
