Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace while supporting food preparation and service. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen operations and providing excellent service to our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils.
  • Help with cooking tasks under the supervision of chefs or cooks.
  • Ensure proper food handling and storage practices are followed to maintain food safety standards.
  • Support serving staff during meal service by preparing plates and assisting with food delivery.
  • Participate in inventory management by helping to stock supplies and report shortages.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.

Skills

  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is a plus.
  • Familiarity with food service practices, including food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Strong cleaning skills to maintain a tidy kitchen workspace.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on hospitality and customer service.
