Marketing Specialist – Corporate (Full-Time, Remote from BC or AB)

Willowbrae Academy is a leading childcare franchise recognized for excellence in early childhood education, innovation, and brand leadership. As we continue to grow across North America, we are seeking a Marketing Specialist to strengthen brand execution, oversee external marketing partners, and build effective Local Area Marketing (LAM) strategies that support Academy-level success.
About the Role
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for ensuring Willowbrae's marketing strategy is executed consistently, effectively, and in alignment with brand standards. This role acts as the primary liaison between Corporate and our external marketing contractor, providing direction, oversight, and performance management, while also developing scalable local marketing plans for Academies.
This is a full-time remote position open to candidates based in British Columbia or Alberta.
Key Responsibilities
Contractor Oversight & Campaign Management
Manage, support, and coordinate an external social media and digital marketing contractor, ensuring clarity of priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
Review and approve paid social campaigns, content calendars, and creative assets prior to launch.
Monitor performance across paid social channels and ensure reporting aligns with Corporate KPIs.
Act as the quality control point for brand consistency, messaging, and visual standards.
Local Area Marketing (LAM) Strategy
Develop and maintain Local Area Marketing plans to support individual Academies and regional growth.
Create playbooks, templates, and guidance for franchisees to execute local marketing initiatives effectively.
Partner with Operations and Franchise teams to align marketing activity with enrollment goals, openings, and community engagement.
Identify opportunities for localized campaigns, partnerships, and grassroots marketing.
Brand & Content Leadership
Support the development of brand-aligned content across digital, print, and franchise-facing materials.
Provide creative direction and design oversight to ensure all assets meet Willowbrae brand standards.
Contribute to national brand campaigns and corporate marketing initiatives as required.
Maintain and evolve marketing assets, templates, and brand guidelines.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in marketing, brand, or digital marketing roles.
Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating external agencies or contractors.
Strong understanding of paid social media strategy and performance metrics (hands-on execution not required, but fluency is essential).
Proven experience in Local Area Marketing or multi-location / franchise marketing environments.
Strong design capabilities; confident reviewing, directing, and improving creative work (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
