We focus on excellence and are committed to support and develop our teams    Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, the Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting core financial functions, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and cash management. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure across corporate accounting and financial planning & analysis (FP&A), working collaboratively with both teams to support strategic initiatives and deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional desire to grow within a dynamic organization.   SUMMARY OF RESPONSBILITIES:
  • Support the annual budgeting process by validating budget assumptions against relevant documents, such as lease and management agreements
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, etc.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation for credit card transactions, bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
  • Assist in preparation of periodic financial statements and board presentations
  • Maintain and update tracking files, including capital expenditure, tax filings and payments, and insurance claims
  • Assist with interim and year-end audits by preparing working papers and coordinating documents from various stakeholders
  • Contribute to corporate initiatives, such as insurance renewals, commodity and income tax filings, and covenant filings.
  • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED: 
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting/forecasting, or business management
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or Accounting
  • Professional designation (CPA or CFA or in progress) is preferred
  • Strong understand of accounting standards and principles
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt with a growth mindset
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
