Café Service & Guest Experience Ambassador

$20/hr + gratuities | Part or Full-time | Qualicum Beach

We are under new ownership and evolving beyond our former French bakery focus. While our roots remain in quality baking, good coffee and hospitality, we're adding a broader café experience with new offerings and fresh energy. If you enjoy being part of change and love shaping experiences that make people feel welcome, this role is for you.

Your Role at the Café

  • Welcome guests with warmth and genuine hospitality
  • Take orders for drinks, baked goods, breakfast and lunch items
  • Prepare a full range of café beverages (espresso, brewed coffee, teas, and specials) and perform general barista duties as needed
  • Confidently run the till (experience with Square is a bonus)
  • Gather items from the baked goods display and keep it looking fresh and inviting
  • Serve food and drinks to tables with care and a smile
  • Have (or obtain) a valid Serving It Right certificate to ensure responsible service as our café offerings grow
  • Restock displays, condiments, cups, napkins, and anything else that keeps service flowing
  • Keep the café sparkling by clearing tables, wiping surfaces, sweeping, and resetting for the next guest
  • Jump in where needed, from light dishwashing to supporting teammates during busy moments

Our Hours

  • Tuesday to Saturday (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM)
  • Sunday Brunch (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM)
  • Morning and weekend availability required

  • Calm under pressure and quick on your feet
  • Excited to be part of a business in transition and contribute ideas to its growth
  • Experience with Square or other POS systems
  • Café or restaurant experience is an asset, but we are happy to train the right individual
