Location: Slave Lake, Alberta
We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team in Slave Lake. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and complete real estate documents using Microsoft Word and Lawyer Done Deal (LDD)
- Open and close client files
- Manage client communications and phone calls
- Schedule appointments and handle mail
- Organize paper and electronic files
- Complete billing and invoicing
- Communicate with lawyers, clients, mortgage brokers, banks, and law offices
- Assist with general administrative tasks and errands
Qualifications:
- Professional, dependable, and well-organized
- Strong communication and proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Legal Assistant or Paralegal education is an asset
- Familiarity with LDD is an asset
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
Salary: Based on experience and qualifications
