Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization while utilizing advanced accounting software tools. The position requires a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and experience with various accounting platforms, including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting budgeting, account reconciliation, and financial analysis activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and financial records
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with account reconciliation activities
  • Support payroll processing and related reporting requirements
  • Assist in budgeting processes by providing relevant financial data and analysis
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation for audit purposes
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial data

Experience

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within a similar industry
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
  • Experience with payroll processing and related compliance requirements is a plus
  • Ability to perform account analysis and budgeting tasks effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Prior experience in preparing financial reports and supporting audits is desirable
