**ABOUT THE COMPANY**
IT-Specialists.ca (the “Company”) is a Canadian tech company that provides IT services and support for clients of all sizes. We cater to residences, home offices, small-to-medium businesses, small-to-medium enterprises, major corporations, non-profits and government entities. Whether clients have a small problem, a large project, or need staffing in their IT department, we can help. We provide remote and on-site IT field services as well as IT staffing & recruitment; and deliver fast and efficient access to our nationwide team of Technical Support Representatives (TSRs), as if clients had their own national IT department on stand-by. We provide services on an hourly, monthly, project, contract or placement basis. For field services, our remote support is available for clients anywhere in Canada; while our on-site support is available for clients in select cities. Meanwhile, our staffing & recruitment services are available for clients anywhere in Canada.
**COMPENSATION SUMMARY**
- $25.00 to $35.00 per hour on a part-time independent contractor basis (depending on education, designations and work experience); and eventually transitioning to full-time as our company grows (i.e. $50,000 to $70,000 per year);
- Potential to increase your compensation in the future if you are also a CPA (by handling our year-end corporate tax returns);
- Potential to increase your compensation in the future if you are promoted to a management role (related to bookkeeping, accounting and/or business administration);
- Benefits for full-time staff will be introduced after we start building a team of full-time salaried employees.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
IT-Specialists.ca is looking for a reliable and experienced bookkeeper to handle our bookkeeping, payables and receivables with two options for involvement:
OPTION A - This position is open to bookkeepers who wish to begin as an independent contractor on a part-time basis, with the ability to transition to a full-time salaried position in the future as our company grows. The first few months will begin slowly with limited bookkeeping hours, but then is expected to grow rapidly. Work from the comfort of your home, whenever it’s convenient (i.e. days, evenings, weekends), but with a strict deadline of ensuring all bookkeeping and payables are completed on a two-week schedule. This individual MUST live in Calgary.
OPTION B - This position is open to bookkeepers who wish to start a bookkeeping practice and are looking for good clients, but only if the hourly rate being offered is acceptable (the CEO’s previous company used the same bookkeeping practice for 13 years). Their practice MUST be located in Calgary.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Please note that although most bookkeeping software is similar and functions in the same way, we use Zoho Books instead of Intuit QuickBooks;
- Contribute to the setup, structuring and fine-tuning of the Company’s bookkeeping and ticketing system;
- Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of our best practices, policies & procedures regarding the Company’s bookkeeping and ticketing system;
- Provide expert bookkeeping services in a fast and efficient manner;
- Process all bookkeeping, payables and receivables for the Company’s bookkeeping and ticketing system (Zoho Books, Zoho Invoice, Zoho Expense, Zoho Billing, Zoho FSM);
- Process, review, and reconcile bi-weekly payroll for employees and contractors through our ticketing system, time sheet tracker and/or communication with clients;
- Promptly prepare invoices and collect payments from clients when TSRs are on service calls, if necessary;
- Prepare invoices and collect payments for field services (if payments were not collected by TSRs);
- Prepare invoices and collect payments for monthly services, managed services, contracts and placements;
- Process payables for TSRs or other entities on a strict schedule;
- Provide guidance and oversight to TSRs regarding travel fees and expense tracking;
- Accurate and honest use of time sheet tracker;
- Accurate and timely data entry, journal entries, bookkeeping and reporting;
- Accurate and timely completion of bank reconciliations;
