Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist servers in ensuring that all orders are complete and presented beautifully.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and any special requests from guests.
  • Adhere to food safety standards and practices to ensure guest safety.

Experience / Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred.
  • Smart Serve Certified (must)
  • Food Handler Certificate (asset)
  • Familiarity with kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and cleaning procedures is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures is essential.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 25 per week
