Job Summary

Souk Tabule is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing transactions, assisting with dine-in, takeout, and marketplace sales, and supporting a seamless guest experience, including delivering food to tables. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong multitasking skills, and enjoys providing warm hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments using a POS system.
• Assist with dine-in, takeout, and marketplace sales, ensuring guests receive their orders efficiently.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Souk Tabule's menus, promotions, and services, providing accurate information and recommendations to guests.
• Deliver food to guests' tables after orders are placed at the counter.
• Provide information about the menu, specials, and marketplace products.
• Assist with maintaining an organized and stocked marketplace area.
• Keep the cashier and service area clean and organized.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally, escalating when needed.
• Support the team with general restaurant operations as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience as a cashier, server, or in a fast-casual restaurant is an asset.
• Smart Serve certification is required.
• First Aid certification is an asset.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
• Ability to handle cash and process transactions efficiently.
• Strong multitasking and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to remain calm and composed during peak service times.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Toast, is considered an asset.
