Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of North Indian dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food service, food preparation, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. Candidates should have a strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations, with prior restaurant or food industry experience preferred. The successful applicant will contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in meal preparation.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Assist in food plating and presentation to ensure visual appeal
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
  • Support food service operations by timely preparation of dishes during busy hours
  • Ensure all ingredients are stored properly and inventory levels are maintained
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service and uphold restaurant standards
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines at all times

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or food service setting preferred.
  • Must know how to prepare Naan dough and Bhatura dough, and how to cook naan in tandoori and bhatura.
  • Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
  • Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork skills and positive attitude towards customer service
  • Experience with serving, food industry practices, and kitchen experience is highly desirable
  • Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one is a plus
