About The Role

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality virtual healthcare services. This position is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients while ensuring holistic, patient-centered care. The NP will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, provide health education, and support long-term patient well-being. The ideal candidate is a licensed Nurse Practitioner with experience in telehealth, comfortable working independently, and proficient with digital healthcare tools. Experience with Veterans, First Responders, and cannabis for medical purposes prescribing is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Patient Consultations:

Conduct virtual assessments, review medical histories, diagnose conditions, and provide treatment plans.
- Individualized Treatment Plans:

Develop personalized care plans tailored to patient needs, focusing on both physical and mental well-being.
- Health Education:

Provide guidance on nutrition, exercise, stress management, and preventive care to promote long-term health.
- Collaboration & Referrals:

Coordinate with other healthcare providers and refer patients to specialists when necessary.
- Practice Management:

Manage administrative responsibilities, including documentation, patient records, and scheduling.
- Compliance & Privacy:

Ensure strict adherence to healthcare privacy laws and regulatory guidelines.
- Telehealth Optimization:

Utilize digital tools to enhance patient engagement and streamline virtual care processes.
- Cannabis for Medical Purposes & Specialty Prescribing:

Assess patients for Cannabinoid Therapy and other treatment options where applicable, following clinical guidelines.
- Ongoing Education:

Stay updated on best practices, emerging research, and evolving healthcare regulations to ensure evidence-based patient care.

What You'll Bring

  • Master's degree in nursing (MN, MScN, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed/Registered Nurse Practitioner in a Canadian province ( Ontario, Quebec or BC. Multi province is preference)
  • Experience working with Veterans, First Responders, or individuals facing trauma-related conditions is preferred.
  • Mental Health Nursing Background
  • Experience in telehealth and remote patient management.
  • Knowledge of Cannabinoid Therapy prescribing and integrative healthcare approaches (an asset).

Performance Metrics & Expectations

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
  • Comfort working independently and productively in a fully remote environment.
  • Bilingual fluency in French and English (preferred but not mandatory).
