Is This You?
• Precision-minded Millwright or Electrician (Red Seal or registered apprentice), or 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineer, with a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
- Quick-thinking technician who tackles downtime head-on, stays cool under pressure, and keeps production moving.
- Collaborative operator who follows the process, respects the protocols, and shows up for the team every shift.
What You'll Do
Keep Equipment Running
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to reduce downtime and ensure smooth production.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, replace or repair parts, and make system adjustments.
- Operate and maintain the hydronic boiler, following all safety protocols and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with external contractors when needed for repairs or upgrades.
Support Quality & Documentation
• Follow SOPs, regulatory requirements, and quality standards including FSSC 22000, HACCP, and GMP.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and contribute to SOP and standard work documentation.
- Maintain a clean work area and support the production process when needed.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external service providers.
Promote Safety & Continuous Improvement
• Always wear required PPE and follow safety protocols when working with tools, systems, and chemicals.
- Participate in internal and external training, coaching sessions, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Share knowledge, support team goals, and contribute to a positive, improvement-focused culture.
What You'll Bring
- Class 4 or 3 Power Engineering Certificate (or a willingness to pursue via self-directed study)
- Registered apprentice or Journeyman in Millwright or Electrical trade
- 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience; food or fluid processing preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems
- Familiarity with process flow, SOPs, and preventative maintenance best practices
- Comfortable with the physical demands of maintenance work (lifting, standing, moving equipment)
- A track record of safety, reliability, and high work standards
- Confident using various programs like Microsoft Office and Teams
- Flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
