A background in automotive repair and forklift operation is a plus, demonstrating versatility and technical proficiency. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and compliance with company policies
  • Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when required to ensure vehicle readiness
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays
  • Assist with warehouse duties including freight handling and inventory management when not on the road

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license
  • Familiarity with forklift operation and freight handling procedures
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair skills
  • Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or related fields is preferred
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards related to trucking and freight transportation
