Medical Laboratory Technologist

Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Medical Laboratory Technologist position in the Laboratory Services Department.
The primary location for this position is: Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital
The duration of this temporary contract would be approximately 18 months, or sooner, as determined by RRHS
Qualifications:
- Certification with Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
- Current registration or eligible as a Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario with authorization to practice relevant specialties in Laboratory Medicine.
- Minimum two years' experience in a medical laboratory preferred
- Demonstrated computer literacy (i.e. Cerner)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to fulfil commitment of 12 hour shifts
- Demonstrated accuracy, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Possess solid technical skills for phlebotomy
- Ability to collaborate, develop and maintain effective relationships within healthcare teams
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to personal, patient and staff safety
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
- Ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
Other pertinent conditions:
- Salary per the Non-Union Salary Schedule ($37.95 per hour to $51.75 per hour)

Must be available to work all shifts as required, which may include; weekends, statutory holidays, days, evenings and night shifts. Hours are subject to change based on operation needs of the hospital.
