Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Medical Laboratory Technologist position in the Laboratory Services Department.The primary location for this position is: Tillsonburg District Memorial HospitalThe duration of this temporary contract would be approximately 18 months, or sooner, as determined by RRHSQualifications:Certification with Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.Current registration or eligible as a Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario with authorization to practice relevant specialties in Laboratory Medicine.Minimum two years' experience in a medical laboratory preferredDemonstrated computer literacy (i.e. Cerner)Ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to fulfil commitment of 12 hour shiftsDemonstrated accuracy, organizational and multi-tasking skillsPossess solid technical skills for phlebotomyAbility to collaborate, develop and maintain effective relationships within healthcare teamsDemonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to personal, patient and staff safetyDemonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basisAbility to maintain patient privacy and confidentialityOther pertinent conditions: Salary per the Non-Union Salary Schedule ($37.95 per hour to $51.75 per hour)Applying to this Position:If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in applying for the position, please click on APPLY NOW and submit a resume detailing your qualifications.Must be available to work all shifts as required, which may include; weekends, statutory holidays, days, evenings and night shifts.
