What You'll Do
As the Department Manager, you'll be a vital leader on the sales floor, overseeing daily interactions and ensuring that every engagement between employees and customers embodies the exceptional standards of the Simons experience. You'll be the first stop for associates looking for advice and training to deliver fantastic customer service
Lead & Inspire:
Lead and coach associates, empowering them to enhance their service one customer at a time. As a key leader, you'll ensure that employees are equipped and motivated to engage in outstanding interactions while servicing customers, ensuring they leave satisfied. You will lead by example and inspire employees to turn potential obstacles into opportunities to strengthen relationships and create positive outcomes.
Drive the Simons Experience:
Set the bar high and show your team what success looks like in the Toronto market, ensuring that everyone master's the art of delivering the exceptional Simons service experience to every visitor. You'll lead the training and development of employees, ensuring they execute service with excellence in a fast-paced retail environment.
Curate the Vision:
Play the lead role in curating a vibrant and inviting sales floor that showcases our exceptional merchandise. Collaborating with Area Directors and employees, you'll create eye-catching visual displays that grasps everyone's attention. You'll keep in communication with the buying team to ensure inventory levels are on point, so the right products are always at hand.
Optimize Performance:
Closely collaborate with Area Directors to thoroughly assess departmental performance, identify specific employee training needs, and proactively address operational challenges. This involves developing strategies to enhance merchandising effectiveness and ensuring that solutions are oriented toward achieving the business needs.
What We're Looking For
We seek a natural leader who can manage the excitement of a dynamic retail environment while overseeing everyday operations. Your creativity, passion for service, and dedication to our customers will be key to your success.
Experience in Retail Management:
You have 5-7 years of working in a fast-paced retail environment with direct experience manage both people and processes in fast-paced, high-traffic settings. A bachelor's degree or equivalent is a strength for this role; bilingualism is an asset.
Fashion Expert:
You are considered a fashionista, showcasing a deep understanding of current fashion trends, brands, fabrics and styles, as well as the ability to forecast future trends. You are a walking- talking book of product knowledge, and you can style anyone who comes your way. You set the standard for being fashion-savvy and offer guidance across the store.
Customer Service Passion:
You know how to make diverse customers feel like part of the Simons family and ensure you create a strong sense of vision to inspire your teams to do the same
Collaborative Leadership:
Collaborating with employees and fellow management members is second nature to you. You effortlessly collaborate, showing your adaptability and openness with everyone to boost success and make great things happen
Technologically Advanced:
