Looking to add to our great Team, JF Fabrics is immediately seeking an energetic and skilled

ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR

This position requires a detail-oriented candidate who has strong organizational and analytical skills, with a sound knowledge of accounting principles. Excellent Microsoft Office Excel skills are essential.

Position overview:

Ø Report directly to the Controller

Ø Supervise the Accounts Payable Department staff of two

Ø Manage month-end close for seven entities

Ø Reconcile all general ledger accounts and analyze expense variations

Ø Perform cost analyses

Ø Create monthly and quarterly financial statement schedules

Ø Maintain the standard cost file and vendor price increases

Ø Support the annual financial audit

Ø Support operational needs as required and perform other duties as assigned

Successful candidate has the following skills:

Ø 2-3 years of accounting experience

Ø Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting

Ø Accounting designation CGA/CMA or active enrollment in CPA program

Ø Sound knowledge of accounting principles

Ø Above average Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with complex spreadsheets

Ø Efficient in Outlook, Crystal and AS400 ERP system an asset

Ø Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment & handle a high volume of work with accuracy

Ø Effective problem solving and decision making skills

Ø Detail Oriented

Ø Ability to work independently and proactively

Ø Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

Ø Team Oriented & contribute to a positive work environment

Ø Ability to adapt to changing priorities throughout the day

Full time hours Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
