QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Experience/Knowledge:
- Minimum 2 years experience (recent within the last 2-3 years) as office support in a health-related field required.
- Medical Terminology Certificate required
- Keyboarding (45 wpm/95% accuracy) and Data Entry (6200 kph/95% accuracy) skills required
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Meditech applications/data entry required
- Knowledge of child and youth mental health
- Knowledge of child and youth mental health services and resources within the community is required.
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act, Personal Healthcare Information Protection Act, Hospitals Act required, Child and Family Services Act
Skills/Abilities:
- Able to create a welcoming environment, coordinating appointments, calls and general office duties
- Ability to be adaptable, self-motivated and organize work with minimal supervision to tight time lines
- Experience in supporting projects including quality initiatives, policies, forms and promotion materials
- Critical problem solving and decision making skills required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required
- Demonstrated experience in transcription required
- Must demonstrate good attendance
- Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required.All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level.
