QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of a Community College in the in the Medical / Business Office Administration Course or equivalent required
  • Recent 2 years secretarial experience required
  • Keyboarding (60 wpm/95 % accuracy) and Data Entry (6200 kph/95% accuracy) required
  • Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate required (training delivered by Health Centre upon hire)
  • Current Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) Certificate an asset
  • Recent experience with computer software (Word, Excel, Power Point and Meditech) required
  • Experience reporting data, use of statistical applications and order entry required
  • Excellent time management skills required
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required
  • Recent experience drafting correspondence and experience in minute taking required
  • Knowledge of collective agreements, payroll time sheet experience an asset
  • Good attendance and work record required
  • Medical Terminology an asset
