Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
  • Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair while adhering to customer specifications.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
  • Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items to enhance customer offerings.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding dessert options, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Package desserts for display or sale, ensuring they are presented attractively.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a pastry or baking role within a restaurant or food service environment is a must.
  • Strong skills in cake decorating and presentation techniques.
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment used in baking.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
