Job Opportunity: Renovation and New Build Installer

Full-time (35 hours/week)

$18/hour + Overtime Pay

Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare work areas by assembling tools, gathering materials, confirming measurements, and ensuring all installation or service tasks are ready to begin.

  • Install a wide range of interior products, including windows, doors, kitchen cupboards, countertops, bathroom vanities, appliances, and water-heating units by fitting, fastening, adjusting, and securing components according to project needs.

  • Complete exterior installation and improvement projects, such as setting up siding, fences, decks, shutters, awnings, signs, irrigation systems, and other prefabricated or custom-built structures used in residential and commercial settings.

  • Read and interpret drawings, layout notes, and project plans to understand measurements, placement requirements, and installation specifications for both new construction and renovation work.

  • Mark reference lines, cut openings, prepare surfaces, align components, and verify level and spacing to ensure accuracy during installation.

  • Participate in new construction activities by coordinating with framing, finishing, and mechanical teams to integrate installation tasks smoothly throughout the building stages.

  • Perform renovation and remodeling duties, including removing outdated fixtures, adjusting surfaces, replacing structural or finishing elements, and modernizing interior or exterior components.

  • Inspect completed installations, identify alignment or performance issues, carry out repairs or adjustments, and ensure all completed work meets safety and quality standards.

  • Maintain safe and clean work environments, follow safety protocols, and comply with building codes and company guidelines when operating hand and power tools.

  • Load, unload, transport, and organize materials, tools, and equipment for ongoing and upcoming projects across residential, commercial, and exterior job sites.

Employment Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; training or coursework in construction or building technology is an asset.

  • Previous experience in installation, renovation, or general construction is an asset

  • Ability to read and understand drawings, measurements, and installation instructions.

  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools to complete interior and exterior installation tasks.

  • Physically capable of performing installation work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently on residential and commercial job sites.
