About the role

From spring through fall, you will assist with residential and commercial landscaping and construction projects, including grading, planting, installing sod, building patios, walkways, and retaining walls.

During winter, you will transition to our on-call snow removal team, operating hand tools and small equipment to clear snow and ice while earning premium pay. This role is physically active and perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on outdoor work in a team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with landscape and construction projects, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and grading
  • Spread and level soil, mulch, gravel, and other materials
  • Plant sod, shrubs, and trees
  • Operate hand tools and small landscaping equipment such as wheelbarrows, tampers, and compactors
  • Participate in on-call winter snow removal, including shoveling, salting, and clearing snow
  • Work flexible hours during snow events, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one season of landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation required as job sites are NOT accessible by bus or public transit
  • Physically able to lift, dig, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Dependable, safety conscious, and team oriented
  • Available and willing to work on-call winter snow removal shifts

Compensation and benefits

  • Hourly pay from 19.00 to 24.00 based on experience, with higher pay for snow removal shifts

Working conditions

  • Outdoor work in all weather, including heat, rain, cold, and snow
