Key Responsibilities

Dashboard & Report Development: Build interactive, visually compelling dashboards and reports tailored to business needs using Power BI Desktop and Service.

Data Integration: Connect and integrate data from diverse sources including SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, cloud platforms (Azure), and third-party APIs.

Data Modeling & DAX: Design robust data models and write advanced DAX expressions to enable dynamic calculations and deep analytical capabilities.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business users, analysts, and executives to gather requirements, understand KPIs, and translate them into actionable insights.

Performance Optimization: Tune queries, models, and visuals to ensure fast load times and responsive user experiences.

Data Governance & Security: Implement row-level security, manage access permissions, and adhere to organizational data governance policies.

Documentation & Training: Maintain documentation for BI solutions and provide training or support to end-users to maximize adoption and utility.

Required Skills

Power BI Expertise: Deep proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and M language.

SQL Mastery: Strong command of SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing data from relational databases.

ETL & Data Warehousing: Understanding of ETL pipelines, star/snowflake schema design, and data warehousing concepts.

Cloud Integration: Experience with Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database is highly desirable.

Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data trends, identify anomalies, and present insights in a business-friendly format.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Agile & DevOps Familiarity: Exposure to agile methodologies, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD practices for BI deployments is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.

Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI) or equivalent certification preferred.

2–5 years of hands-on experience in business intelligence, data visualization, or analytics roles.

Reporting Structure

Reports to: BI Manager, Data Analytics Lead, or Head of Data Strategy.

Collaborates with: Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and cross-functional business teams.
