The Stanley's Bar and Grill Restaurant Server is part of the team responsible for excellent guest and food service. Main duties include greeting guests and contributing to a positive experience by connecting with them, offering excellent product knowledge, beverage options & pairings, as well as providing local area knowledge, maintaining proper food handling procedures, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, following opening and closing procedures and providing a seamless experience.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for full table service (order taking, food running and bussing tables);
  • Prepare and deliver all food and beverages in a timely manner, follow wine service steps as needed;
  • Ensure quality assurance checks are completed in a timely manner;
  • Anticipate Guests' needs and search for ways to increase Guest satisfaction;
  • Efficiently operate restaurant POS and complete cash-out at end of shift;
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment;
  • Follow all HAACP and Food Safe requirements;
  • Follow all procedures outlined in the Team Member Handbook;
  • Be knowledgeable and promote the Capilano Group of Companies;
  • Promote a safe work environment paying particular attention to food and beverage safety;
  • Take reasonable care to protect your own, co-workers and Guest's health and safety;
  • Be alert to hazards and immediately report any concerns of yours or our guests to your supervisor; and,
  • Ensure your ability to work without risk to your health and safety or any other person's safety is not impaired, by alcohol, drugs or other causes.
Qualifications
  • One (1) year of serving experience;
  • POS experience or previous knowledge of Profitek System, an asset;
  • Must have up to date Serving It Right certificate;
  • Strong communication skills, multilingual is considered an asset;
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task;
  • Positive attitude and a strong desire to provide experiences Guests are amazed by;
  • Ability to work with team members professionally and with respect; and,
  • Working with the team and supporting one another to achieve company goals.
Considerations
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs, climb a step ladder or climb a step stool;
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business; and,
  • Ability to work in varied weather conditions, including heat, rain, and winter environments.

This role starts at $17.85 per hour, and is a seasonal, part-time contract.
