Blacksmith Bakery – Baker/Barista

Job Description
We are currently hiring a Baker for our Langley Airport Location St #115, Langley Twp, BC V2Y 2N3) Located inside the Langley Airport Building.

The ideal candidate is a team player who works well under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You must be available for early morning shifts (5:00am start time) and available on weekends

Position Requirements

  • Knowledge of pastry and baking
  • Math skills for count offs and measurements
  • 1 year experience in a similar position

Required Characteristics

  • A pleasant, energetic and cheerful disposition.
  • Customer Service skills are a must.
  • Team-oriented, motivated, clean and organized.
  • Able to adapt in difficult situations and handle pressure.
  • Can complete detail-oriented work in a skilled and timely manner.
  • Has an eagerness and capacity to learn.
  • Able to follow Blacksmith Bakery recipes exactly as they are taught to you.
  • Can be relied upon to complete complicated tasks.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both written and spoken English.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy and somewhat stressful environment while working.
  • Willing to perform tasks such as cleaning and garbage handling.

Physical Requirements
Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs safely and must be able to stand for very long periods of time. Able to work in warm conditions around equipment that generate heat.

Other
Available to work early mornings, weekends, holidays and long days if necessary.
