Saba is a very busy café in bustling Fort Langley and we are looking for a full time baker to join our team.
We are seeking an experienced and professional individual with attention to detail who is able to execute in a high volume and energetic environment.
The baker role includes (but is not limited to) the following:
Must be able to work independently as well as alongside our bakery team.
Has a teamwork mentality and is able to communicate professionally/respectfully to colleagues.
Able to prepare and execute a variety of recipes for cakes, pastries, breads, scones, and tarts.
Responsible for safe food handling and keeping food preparation areas clean. Take part in daily kitchen cleaning at the end of the shift.
Responsible for operating and monitoring the proper functioning of equipment.
Must be able to execute consistently according to company branding, recipes and standards.
Qualifications:
Must have knowledge in baking and pastry.
At least 3-5 years professional experience as pastry chef/baker.
Cook trade certification or equivalent training and experience.
This is a permanent position with a starting wage of $18.00 per hour. Wage is based on experience.
Extended health benefits are available once staff completes a three month probation period.
