Duties include:

  • Customer service and sales.
  • Responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Completing event contracts with guests.
  • Executing bookings and large party reservations.
  • Organizing menus, event details, special requests.
  • Preparing restaurant and venues for special event execution.
  • Assisting with event set up and tear down as needed.
  • Coordinating with guests, front of house and back of house teams. Coordinating with outside companies where necessary, rental and events companies, other planners and related stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the organization of various product orders
  • Data Entry
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of administrative and other working areas
  • Filing
  • Word processing
  • Reception — answering phones, taking detailed messages, communicating with customers.
  • Provide ad hoc support as needed

Relevant Skills

  • Customer service experience is foundational to this position.
  • Working knowledge of Apple computers and products essential.
  • Sales acumen is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience in hospitality is essential.
  • Familiarity with Pages, Numbers and other Mac based programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Point of Sales systems an asset.
  • Agility — ability to transition between different tasks throughout the day.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to lift 15 kg.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
