Quality Control Associate

We are currently looking for a Quality Control Associate who will support our Inventory team. We are looking for a team member that loves technology - specifically cellphones, is open to challenges and is ready to pull their sleeves up and get down and dirty. For the right candidate, this will be a challenging but highly rewarding opportunity
Reporting to the Manager Inventory & RMA, the Quality Control Associate is responsible for implementing inspection mechanisms in place for RMA/returned products, as well as the detection and resolution of problems in incoming electronic devices in the inventory. The end goal is to ensure the products are considered fit to be resold on any platform under the company umbrella.
What you will be doing:
- Identify defects in sourced and returned products and send units to Repair as needed
- Ensure that the final product meets the company's quality standards ensuring customer satisfaction with quality of product
- Through introduction of QC initiatives, reduce number of defects experienced by customers
- Review technical procedures, identify problems, and recommend solutions in the areas of quality control
- Test the function of used stock items and authorize for selling
- Performing quality check and testing of returned and repaired devices to ensure full functionality
- Prepare performance reports and analyze trends in QC
- Assist the Inventory & RMA team in all boxing, shipping and other day to day activities where needed
What we are looking for:
- Experience with with cellphone sales/repairs an asset, but not necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a Warehouse environment will be an asset
- Must be able to move or lift up to 40lbs in weight
- Must be able to read and write English and well versed in using computers
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Should have the dexterity to be able to pack and tape up delivery boxes
