Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a CFAA licensed Fire Alarm Technician. The Fire Alarm Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems as well as other life safety systems. They will also provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns related to fire and life safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, program, maintain, and repair alarm systems
  • Inspect and test alarm systems to ensure proper functionality
  • Troubleshoot and detect issues in alarm systems and field circuits
  • Ensure systems are installed and maintained to code
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their life and building safety needs
  • Provide technical support to customers on alarm system operation
  • Complete work orders and documentation accurately
  • Supervise and mentor CFAA trainees.

Qualifications

  • CFAA License
  • Experience in low voltage engineering and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of alarm systems and life safety procedures
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience with security systems and monitoring a plus
  • Valid Ontario Driver License
