At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices.
The hourly pay range for this position is $ $36.20.
Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors, including the year of study, type of academic program, and the number of prior co-op work terms completed.
Join Our Team as a Product Engineering Support (Co-op)
Are you passionate about Engineering Design? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual for our Developmental Engineering team. The Product Engineering Support (Co-op) is responsible for support to various products manufactured at S&C and will gain exposure to engineering design principles as well as manufacturing techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Design revisions using Solid Edge 3D CAD software.
- Support Development Team projects; exposure to mechanics, electronics, high power electrical, software and systems engineering.
- Investigate product designs to meet customer requirements.
- Assist with product testing (mechanical, electrical, software).
- Responsible for managing short-duration projects from initial concept to prototyping to implementation.
What You'll Need To Succeed
- 3rd or 4th year Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering student with a strong interest in power systems engineering.
- Able to work for an 8 Month Co-op Work Term starting Spring/Summer 2026 (May - Dec).
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- A team player who is also able to work independently under the supervision of a senior team member.
- Structured problem-solving experience and exposure to Lean principles.
- Quick learner.
- Experience using 3D modelling tools such as Solid Edge is a strong asset.
- Experience with product development testing, an asset.
Physical Effort
Normal or frequent minor physical effort is required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.
Work Environment
Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
