Store Clerk Job Description

Job Summary:

The Store and Inventory Coordinator will work with the Stores Lead and team members in the functions of the stores department and he/she will be required to monitor, acquire, inventory, control and safeguard parts, supplies and documents used in the daily operations of the company, including entry of parts into computer inventory system ensuring that the computer inventory of all on hand materials is kept accurate. He/ She will also be responsible for ensuring that communication and logistical systems within the supply chain are running efficiently, as well as assisting the S&P Manager with special projects.

Responsibilities:

Shall ensure that all parts being received or shipped are in compliance with the company's Policy and Procedures manual.

Picking of parts being issued to all engineers and/or assigned to the appropriate aircraft.

Prepare all shipments and ensure that the packaging of these items is properly packed.

Prepare all shipments, ensuring that these items are in compliance with the Dangerous Goods regulations.

Ensure that all parts have arrived at their proper destination.

Coordinate and monitor logistics of the movement of parts, supplies and materials within an establishment and ensure that supplies, materials and products are shipped and received on schedule.

Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of aircraft parts and materials.

Track and update shipment status; ensure delivery schedules meet operational needs.

Prepare and process all customs documents for International & U.S. shipments.

Liaise with freight forwarders, couriers, and suppliers for logistics arrangements.

Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including customs and Dangerous Goods (DG) paperwork.

Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and handling of aircraft parts per regulatory and company standards.

Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP or parts management system.

Support purchasing and stores teams by monitoring backorders and part shortages.

Assist with import/export documentation and compliance.

Coordinate urgent AOG (Aircraft on Ground) shipments as required.

Ensure that all parts have arrived at their proper destination.

Ensure that the shipping and receiving of parts are being done in a timely manner.

Ensure that all parts are safely stored in the appropriate bin locations.

Receives, distributes and delivers parts by ensuring the most efficient and economical means are used.

Receives oral and written requests from staff for parts and works with them to fulfill needs.

Responsible for maintaining accurate records of all goods shipped, received and stored.

Assists in planning storage space utilization, storage aid requirements.

Maintains the work area to ensure it is safe and orderly.

After-hours or work on weekends may be required from time to time.

Assist with Operational requirements as and when requested in a timely manner.

Other duties may be assigned from time to time by supervisor .

***************Afterhours, weekend work, and any overtime required to complete Operational requirements will be renumerated, or time off given in lieu.************

Required skills and knowledge:

  • Grade 12 education, post-secondary exposure
  • Minimum of 1-2 stores experience
  • Valid driver's license WHIMS, Dangerous Goods, First aid, CPR
  • Spills Containment Course
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including word and excel

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

· Reports directly to the Stores & Purchasing Manager

· Works with Stores colleagues in all bases to maintain stores efficiency in the day-to-day operations and has an active role within these duties.

· Works in conjunction with the Director of Maintenance, Fleet Managers, Finance, Maintenance, Pilots, Procurement, Engineers, and other internal/external bases/department.
