We're Hiring: Dayhome Consultant

Our Agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced Dayhome Consultant to support our network of home-based child care educators and families in Edmonton and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about quality child care, mentorship, and compliance with Alberta Child Care Licensing standards. Must be a dynamic person with passion for early child education . Must be self motivated and willing to take up challenges.

This is a part time job and hybrid work option is available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular monitoring visits and safety checks to approved day homes.
  • Create reports and Observation sheets
  • Support educators in maintaining high-quality, play-based programs aligned with FLIGHT
  • Ensure compliance with Alberta Child Care Licensing regulations and agency policies
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and professional support to educators
  • Act as a liaison between educators, families, and licensing officers
  • Assist with documentation, observations, and quality assurance reporting
  • Support placement and enrollment processes as needed

Qualifications:

  • Level 2/3 Early Childhood Educator certification (required)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in licensed child care (dayhome experience an asset)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta Child Care Licensing and FLIGHT framework
  • Excellent communication, organization, and mentoring skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle is required
  • Current First Aid/CPR, Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
