Job Summary
Lansdowne 2.0 is one of the City's most complex and high-profile redevelopment projects, focused on revitalizing the Lansdowne Park district through the delivery of a new 6,600 capacity event center, a 12,400 capcity North side stands, mixed-use development, and supporting public realm improvements. The Design & Construction, Lansdowne 2.0 Branch within infrastructure Services is responsible for managing the full lifecycle delivery of this large-scale, multi-year capital program from design through procurement, construction, and commissioning.

As Program Manager, you are responsible for the effective and efficient management of all services related to the design, construction, and delivery of Lansdowne 2.0 projects. You oversee a multidisciplinary team of project managers and technical professionals engaged in the total project delivery process, ensuring that objectives are met, policies adhered to, and statutory requirements followed. You contribute to the strategic and operational planning of the Branch, maintain strong and collaborative relationships with internal and external partners, and ensure alignment with Council direction and corporate priorities.

You participate as a member of the Branch Management Team, develop and monitor operating and capital budgets, manage human and financial resources, and oversee reporting on the Branch's overall capital program. You are accountable for program and service delivery for assigned capital works under Lansdowne 2.0, including new facility construction, major renovations, and complex mixed-use integration involving event, retail, and residential components.

You possess a strong understanding of architectural, engineering, and construction management principles, and provide expert technical and strategic advice to ensure the successful delivery of this landmark City-building initiative.

Education And Experience
Completion of 4 year Engineering degree specializing in structural, electrical, mechanical or civil engineering, Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent from a recognized university

Minimum of 8 years of professional experience managing the planning, design and construction of buildings projects, including a minimum of 5 years construction project management experience

Demonstrated experience in the development, management and control of human resources, operating and capital budgets and external professional consultants and service contractors

Experience with SAP-PS is an asset

*CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES*
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset

LEED AP (Accredited Professional) with Green Building Certification Inc. (GBCI) is an asset

Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario OR Licensed Architect with Ontario Association of Architects depending on position, or able to obtain licence within timeframe determined by employer

  • Complete building planning, design and construction methods and practices, related national and provincial construction standards, including legislation, regulations, codes and by-laws pertaining to Ontario Building Code, Accessibility for the Built Environment, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Canadian Green Building Council, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), Environmental Assessment Act, Ontario Fire Codes, etc.

  • Protocols for preparing reports, briefings and other communiqués and those pertaining to public consultation, and responding to senior management/Councillor inquiries

  • Financial and other related business practices
