**What you’ll do**

**Note: This position requires occasional in-office attendance and therefore we will only consider people who can commute to our downtown Vancouver office.**

**Your responsibilities**

**Engagement Champion
- 40%**
- Support the development and administration of hybrid workplace engagement activities that connect teams, regardless of location, to enhance the overall team member experience so people love working at Charitable Impact
- Support internal communications initiatives that focus on improving team engagement
- Write, edit, and share internal-facing content that inspires and engages the team across a range of channels
- Administer our employee engagement programs; for example, rewards and recognition, that support the communications strategy and company culture.
- Use a high level of diplomacy and discretion, and develop strong relationships that support a collaborative, multifaceted approach to reaching internal engagement objectives
- Active member of our events club which supports initiatives that bring together our distributed team. Help plan company events from weekly socials to annual parties.
- Help develop strategies and initiatives that build a sense of community and familiarity, and find creative ways to continually evolve workplace culture and connections.

**People Administration - 30%**
- Maintain the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) BambooHR by working with the People Team Manager, Payroll Team, managers, and team members to ensure information accuracy
- Administer the extended health and benefits plan and process required documentation to ensure accurate record keeping
- Respond to team member inquiries and concerns related to the health and benefits plan and liaison with the insurance provider as needed
- Support team members’ by responding to company policy inquiries
- Assist in the administration and use of our performance and engagement tool 15Five
- Assist in the administration of our total compensation philosophy
- Support the development and revisions of company policies, procedures and related documents as needed
- Co-chair the Joint Health and Safety Committee and facilitate related events including scheduling monthly meetings, preparing agendas, and recording and distributing meeting minutes

**Talent Acquisition and Onboarding - 30%**
- Complete and process documentation related to new hires
- Coordinate new team member onboarding activities and work with leaders to develop an effective orientation schedule and program
- Write, revise and edit company policies and procedures related to recruitment and onboarding

**What we're looking for**
- Minimum 2 years HR experience preferably within the technology industry, with a successful track record in recruitment
- Completion of a degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or the equivalent
- Passion for people, community, communications, engagement and culture
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication/ presentation skills as well as the ability to work with a variety of personalities. Comfortable speaking in front of a crowd
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Highest level of confidentiality and integrity to team member information
- Creative mindset, with an openness to learn and willingness to try new things
- Experience connecting people digitally and participating in virtual social communities
- Excellent computer skills, with willingness and ability to research and adopt to new software (i.e. video communication)
