**Human Resources Assistant/Office Assistant**

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this person will perform and support various administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the School’s Human Resources Department.

**Specific responsibilities**
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
- Maintains a high level of trust and confidentiality regarding handling of sensitive employee information
- Assists with recruitment: posting, resume review, interview screening and scheduling, reference checking and coordination
- Assists in the onboarding program, including but not limited to 1st day employee set-up, orientation, employee experience surveys and 90-day navigation
- Communicates with employees regarding leaves requests (e.g. sick leaves and maternity/paternity leaves etc) and coordinates the required payroll documentation process
- Tracks and coordinates service awards and retirement processes
- Conducts exit interviews
- Manages all internal announcements, new hires, job changes, birth announcements etc\Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
- Assists in the implementation of new or improved processes and procedures to increase efficiency in support of continuous improvement to business activities and associated workflow
- Assists in the tracking of the professional development framework activities
- Creates and organizes various reports using MS Excel and required data for various project functions.
- Oversees the Attendance Tracking System
- Participates in Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings
- Provides additional administrative support as required
- Travel is required between both campuses

**Qualifications, skills and abilities**
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or equivalent office administration experience
- 1-3 years of office administration experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suites
