**Truck Driver - Niagara Falls, ON**

**Full Job Description**

As a Truck Driver for North 44 Contracting INC, you will be responsible for loading and delivering a wide variety of products to different customer locations. You will operate a variety of different vehicles, including 26 foot box trucks, 26 foot straight trucks, and 16 foot box trucks. Your work will have a significant impact on the overall delivery efficiency of the company. We are looking for someone who can work independently and as part of a team, as well as with other North 44 Contracting INC drivers. Our goal is to deliver more than just our customers’ satisfaction.

**Qualifications**
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years)
- Must have a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years)
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more on an infrequent basis and occasionally up to 75 pounds (on your own or with equipment)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and physical exam and background check
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have excellent customer service skills and good verbal and written communication skills
- Must have ability to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend simple instructions; follow basic safety rules and procedures

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Operate truck by following safety guidelines; following safety procedures when operating vehicle equipment, tools, etc.
- Perform daily pre-trip inspection of vehicle equipment, tools, etc.
- Load/unload merchandise at various locations using hand truck or forklift
- Operate 26' straight truck and/or 16' straight truck at multiple customer locations throughout the day
- Complete other duties as assigned by management during regular business hours

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $18.31-$29.07 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

- Niagara Falls, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 1 Licence (preferred)
