**The Chateau Lacombe in Edmonton** is currently seeking a part-time **Banquet Server/Porter. **ProServe certification is required for this position and must be willing to work weekends and/or evenings. Bring your amazing customer service skills and join our growing team

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager/Supervisor the Banquet Porter/Server is a food service professional overseeing each aspect of the banquet/catering function from setup through service to the tear down and cleanup. They liaise with the client to ensure guest satisfaction. This position requires excellent customer service and ability to work under pressure.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Follows all established and future banquet Standard Operating Procedures
- Provides value added service to customers to meet or exceed customer expectations
- Assigns duties to each Team member for every event
- Maintains banquet department equipment, storage and work areas.
- Is in constant contact with the host to ensure everything runs seamlessly
- Ensures customer concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner
- Be energetic and enthusiastic; enjoy customer service and working with the public
- Be knowledgeable about the function and the menu being offered by participating in the pre-function meetings
- Assist with the set-up execution and tear-down of banquet functions including, but not limited to, breakfast, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, galas, etc
- Perform well under pressure in a fast paced and sometimes challenging environment
- Cleans and maintains banquet rooms and related public areas.

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations is required
- Knowledge of the products, facility, sector and industry
- Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the service area
- Perform opening/closing and side duties as per the shift checklist
- Involves sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching or stooping; Often lifting, pushing or pulling items between 5- 50 lbs
