At the **Ramada by Wyndham Edmonton South**, we pride ourselves on our commitment to service excellence and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Our banquet team plays a pivotal role in ensuring our reputation for outstanding events, and we're currently seeking a dedicated **Banquet Server** to join our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and set up banquet rooms according to specified plans, including table arrangements, decorations, table linens, table settings, etc.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
- Anticipate and attend to guests' needs, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist in the assembly and breakdown of banquet displays and decorations.
- Clear tables and clean banquet areas after events, ensuring spaces are ready for future use.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of banquet spaces, server stations, and service equipment.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen and event planning teams to ensure smooth operation of events.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a banquet server role or similar position in a hotel or related establishment is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and maintaining professionalism.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items and standing for long periods.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- ProServe certification is an asset, but not required.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8 per week

**Salary**: $15.00-$16.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- banquet: 1 year (preferred)
