- Assembling and disassembling tables, chairs, staging, and equipment for a wide variety of functions
- Ensuring banquet spaces, storage rooms, and public areas are clean, organized, and well maintained
- Restocking linens, china, glassware, and supplies, ensuring all items are polished and guest-ready
- Communicating effectively with event conveners, coworkers, supervisors, and A/V partners to ensure proper setup
- Monitoring rooms throughout events to address needs quickly and without disruption
- Demonstrating strong knowledge of hotel services and facilities to support guest interactions
- Reporting maintenance, safety, or security concerns immediately
- Supporting the banquet service team when needed to enhance the guest experience
- Upholding all Nova Hotels standards for hospitality, cleanliness, safety, and professionalism
- Performing other duties or projects that support the success of the department

- Customer-focused, proactive, and committed to doing quality work
- A strong multitasker with excellent time management
- Positive, adaptable, and able to work well under pressure
- A team player who communicates clearly and respectfully
- Comfortable reading instructions, following room layouts, and using basic technology
- Dependable, punctual, and flexible with varying shift times
Physical Requirements
This position is active and hands-on. You should be comfortable with:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (typically 5–25 lbs, occasionally more)
- Working in a changing, fast-paced environment
- Standing or walking for extended periods
Work Environment
You will work in busy event spaces and guest areas with varying levels of activity. Professionalism, awareness, and adherence to safety procedures are essential.
